Shadow Puppetry!

One of our favourite workshops... It's always a resounding success - why? Because anyone - from very young to very old - can make stunning, impressive shadow-puppets. 

With a little experience and practice, you can learn to make more advanced mechanisms, and create illusions of perspective and kinetic movement. But even simple silhouettes evoke a real sense of magic and atmosphere when placed behind the screen. The puppet is replaced by an illusion of light - for shadow is only an aspect of light, after all. It is the minds of humans that make them solid once more.
