A very simple, yet very successful project. This event took place as part of South Brent Open Studios, Devon. We wanted to provide a 'wild card,' that broke from the usual 'works for sale' format of such an event. We labelled all of the objects in our studio - this of course amounted to several hundred - with a name and a brief history of the object. We offered a wide range of free cakes and teas to anyone who stopped by and they were invited to explore the space nosily at their own lesiure.
The result: people love being given the opportunity to rifle through peoples' personal belongings, finding out about their owners through the sum total of clues. 'Who would live in a house like this?'
